What parts of the world always have snowy days? What parts of the world never have snow or cold days and why not?

Our science theme focuses on the differences between day and night. What do we see in the sky during the day? Where did these things come from? What happens to them at night? What interesting things do we see in the sky at night? What happens way up there?
